Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect the details you share through this admission enquiry website.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Madhav College of Pharmacy ("the College", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through madhavcollegeofpharmacy.org, the College's admission enquiry website for the D.Pharmacy 2027–28 session. The College's main institutional website, madhavcollegeofpharmacy.com, is a separate website.

Information recorded automatically with an enquiry
- The date and time of the enquiry and a reference number.
- The address of this page and the page that referred you to it.
- Advertising campaign parameters, if the link you followed contained them (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, fbclid).
- Your browser's user-agent string.
- An anonymised code derived from your IP address (a one-way hash). It is used only to limit repeated or automated submissions; your IP address itself is not stored with the enquiry.
Like all websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard technical server logs (such as IP address, date and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, bank details or caste certificates through this website. Documents for admission are collected separately by the admission office.
2. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and give admission guidance about D.Pharmacy for the 2027–28 session by call, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To understand which of our advertisements and links bring enquiries, so we can improve our outreach.
- To protect the form from spam and misuse.
We process your enquiry on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the consent box, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 7).
3. Students under 18
Many students who enquire about D.Pharmacy are 17. If the student is under 18, the enquiry should be submitted by, or with the consent of, a parent or lawful guardian. The consent box confirms that the person submitting the form is the student or the student's parent/guardian. We use enquiries from minors only to respond to the admission enquiry, and we do not use them for behavioural tracking or targeted advertising.
4. Where your data goes
- Our web server: enquiries are saved in a protected file on the hosting server for this website. This file cannot be opened from the internet.
- Email: each enquiry is emailed to the College admission inbox.
- Google Sheets (only if enabled by the College): enquiries may also be copied to a Google Sheet through Google Apps Script, in which case Google acts as our service provider.
Only authorised College admission staff use your enquiry. We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with other colleges, agents or marketers. We may disclose data if required by law.
If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Cookies, storage and analytics
- This website itself does not set cookies.
- If you arrive through a link with advertising campaign parameters, those parameters are kept in your browser's session storage for the current visit only, so they can be attached to your enquiry. Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab.
- The College may enable Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and/or the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure website use and the performance of advertisements. These tools load only when the College configures them. When enabled, they may set cookies and record pages viewed, clicks on the call and WhatsApp buttons, and the fact that an enquiry form was submitted — they do not receive the details you type into the form.
- Photographs in the Gallery section are loaded from the College's official website, madhavcollegeofpharmacy.com, so your browser connects to that server when those images are displayed.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle the 2027–28 admission cycle and related follow-up, and delete them within 12 months after that admission cycle closes — unless you take admission (student records are then kept under the College's student-record practices) or the law requires us to keep them longer.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you from this website;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or stop contacting you (withdraw consent);
- address any grievance about how we handled your data.
Send your request from the mobile number or email address connected to your enquiry, using the contact details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is available for such complaints.
8. Security
This website uses HTTPS encryption. Enquiry files are stored in a location that is blocked from public access, and only authorised staff can read them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy — for example, if analytics tools are enabled or the way enquiries are stored changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
